Gavin “Goop” Guffey was about what you’d picture for a guy whose nickname was goop. He loved the arts such as music and drawing. Gavin also was one of the kindest people always checking up on his friends if he saw something off about them. I know multiple stories of someone feeling sad and him picking them up and riding around or going to a coffee shop to talk. Gavin was also what people consider a “character”. Gavin didn’t care what other people thought about him as long as he was having fun that’s all that mattered. That’s what he taught others, to always be yourself. Gavin like so many that appear the happiest outside fought demons inside. He lost the battle within himself to suicide July 27th, 2022 at 17 years old. Mental health is real and expresses itself in many different ways. The best we can do now is talk about it to prevent others from losing the fight. Gavin’s main legacy he left is to express yourself in anyway you can, because after all, that’s what makes you, you. <3 on a black screen is what he sent to friends and family prior. The Goop dinosaur is a unique tag that Gavin used throughout the concrete jungle he chose to roam. Remember: Tomorrow Needs You.
